So up and about on day 2 and tinkerboo and I went and had breakfast downstairs at the Amersuites and it was yummy, waffles! Then dressed in my flowerey dress and pouffy pink skirt off to hear Roger Dean talk about ‘archeticture’.
Unfortunatly the talk was beset with technical difficulties and so he just chatted for a bit and that was great! He talked about his art school training and how drawing needs to be practiced at all times. Afterwards down to the dealer room and he signed my Uriah Heep album. Then wandered around and got to chat with David Mack – I think I want to buy his graphic novel, and saw Andy Lee who drew a great picture of me, and then saw Andy Runton, who once again swore he recognized me but neither him or I can figure out where. But, I got the next Owly book and was happy.
Then time to eat and rest a moment and then off to a panel on beginner costume making. It was not good, too hot in the room and to basic for me, I am one or two steps ahead, but, not far enough along to do complex costume making. So I went and wondered along the Art Hall, and saw some really neat pieces, but nothing I had to have. Then down to the Comic Dealers Room…..scary, but nothing outstanding, no Totoro great things or incredible graphic novels I had to have, though there were some nice corsets….hmmm.
Then more food and napping, and time for the big costume! I wore the Kimono I made with circuits atttached, my back corset, and sash, and a butterfly in my hair and circuits on my face and blue – very blue contacts, I thought I looked great! Then wondering around the dressed up people, a brief stop at the Buffy Prom and into a Flash Party and helping Greg get into the Con – with no badge.. and then sitting by the pool with mdaniel‘s friends and then exhaustion and bed.
Pictures soon.
