Saturday Charlotte and I decided to go for a walk. We ended up at Cannons Point on St Simons Island. We did about half the hike, as we neglected to bring bug spray and the mosquitoes were eating us. It was a lovely hike though:
– beginning on trail
– the marsh restoration project
– Live Oak fills with Spanish moss and native resurrection fern which greens when it rains
– and two of the many armadillos we saw (maybe mating? )

It was amazing. We did not see alligators, deer or snakes but lots of birds and such a variety of trees and brush. #stsimonsisland #cannonspointpreserve #armadillo #liveoaks #birthdayweekend (at Saint Simons Island, Georgia)
