Spending the night at home tonight, after refusing an offer for Phobia, and an offer for Bazaar, due to a burnt hand, so figured the final update was in order, before it all falls into the mists of time. I should also write emails, and do laundry….
Anyway, day 3 – Sunday at D*C started quietly, me arriving a little later than planned, due to the joys of sleep, and banking. I got there, and immediately made a beeline to David Mack and bought the two missing volumes of Kabuki: Volune 2:Dreams and Volume 3:Masks of the Noh. I then also bought a quick sketch he drew. The Volume 2, was signed and numbered(out of 500) and had a gorgeous sketch inside. The next stop was to look at some toys, Dunnys and Tokidoki. I then visited Max Empire’s Store to look at a piece I had admired the previous day a lock necklace, and bought it. My day was pretty much over by this point – exhaustion, and then I got a sad text from teka that him and Jessica had lost their badges the previous night :(. Oh yeah I also bought this cute T Shirt
from Tokyo Star Apparel, I had a hard time choosing just one.
Next I rushed home to get ready for Doug and Brandy’s wedding. I had decided what to wear earlier – cocktail attire was requested – and I figured I could use my outfit as a devil, and not have to change to much. I got all dressed up, then over to teka‘s for Jessica to attach eyelashes for me then to the Variety for a very formal – in parts – sweet and lovely wedding. Kingsized was the band, and they got people dancing, plus the food was pretty tasty. I saw a lot of people I had not seen in a long time: Nicole, Barbra, Brandy and had a pretty good time.
Home after that to attach my horns and back to D*C. I went to visit Rozana first, then wandered around a bit, chatting to various people, and meeting new ones – thank you guy Talon? who opened my bottle of Vodka – and eventually called Leslie to see what else was up. She kindly invited me to a party at the Marriott and I went over and found a whole bunch of people I knew. I hung out for a while talking to Creepi and Robyn, and eventually tiredness set it and it was time to say my goodbyes. I went back to Rozana’s said Ciao! and was out. Bed has never looked so good, or shoe removal.
