Friday was the day mdaniel left. We have been working towards this for about 3 months, but still, it was really hard to see him walk through security at the airport on a one way ticket to Australia.
I spent the rest of the day running around: getting my drivers license renewed, getting my emissions done, dropping off left over stuff at Goodwill, buying handbags at Goodwill, seeing Milton at Whole Foods, then getting into bed. Exhausted. The last week had been very draining.
Saturday I awoke at 6:30!!!! And eventually got up at 8, and showered and went down to the Piedmont Green Market. I bought: fresh tiny strawberries, cheese in red wine, ciabatta bread, tomatoes, eggs and salami. The choices were pretty good. Afterwards Charlotte and I went to the Morningside Market and I bought lettuce. There was meat seller, but he was sold out, I would love to have bought steaks from him.
Next up, I met tinkerboo and her family and we all went to the Georgia Renaissance Festival. I have not been in about 14 years or so…It has moved! And it is bigger. It was nice to wander around in the sun and see all the glittery things and all the people dressed up, though I do not need to do it again soon.
When I got home mdaniel called and told me he was safe, and tired.
Sunday was work and it was busy, I missed Matthew :(. I am so used to go for brunch before work together, deciding where to try, and getting there all on time, etc, I miss our routine. Funny to think of him being 15 hours ahead of me.
Tuesday is my Birthday, and Charlotte is taking me out for sushi at Zuma, and a wine tasting on Wednesday at Atmosphere! I have taken Tuesday off work too, as I hate working my birthday, so I plan on relaxing, visiting Book Nook, and maybe baking a cake – big maybe.
