Busy couple of days, sort of. On Thursday evening I went to Greg’s house to fix his iTunes. I don’t know why there is continual problems with it, he seems to corrupt it at least once a year. After that I came home to discover my dinner was still frozen. So I called Blackoutdaddy to inquire if he was available for dinner. He was. So him, me, Jared, Fred and Steven all met at the Flat Iron and ate and drunk. Afterwards, they came back to my place briefly so I could lend Jared a book, and a list of possible authors to read. My records got some scrutiny, as did my cats.
Friday was spent relaxing and then BookNook. I found a Ha Jin novel The Crazed and some light reading. After talking to David I went on my merry way home. I then proceeded to spend to much timing relaxing, so when I decided to cook I was starving.
I have been listening to Jamie Oliver’s podcasts in my car, and so decided to try his way of cooking my now finally defrosted steak. Instead of cooking 3 minutes per side, you turn it ever minute until 4 or five minutes are up, sealing in the juices, but heating it throughout. And it was very successful. I made rice and was going to make cherries in brandy as well, but I ran out of steam.
Later I went over to Greg and Melissa, for drinks. I was worried about being late as they said 10, but I was the only one there up until 12 or so, but conversation was fun, though the red wine was godawful, so I drunk white instead. Then home to bed.
