Not sure were I left off in updating about my back, hmm, I went to Emory and saw the worst Dr ever! I wasted $250 on a Dr who told me it was nothing and it would heal on its own. I was so pissed. She did not even look at my CT scan only my MRI, and spent less than 10 minutes with me. So I am still in limbo about the back, though it has not been to painful lately.
virtually was in town for 3 days or so. I went out to Halo for drinks, and had a great time seeing him, and everyone else. He came by the ‘facts and bought a few CDs and we went to lunch at the Vortex with teka.
What else, I finally got a Christmas tree thanks to mdaniel and got my house clean and up to snuff for Christmas day, and did most my shopping, but not my mailing out of gifts.
Christmas eve though was exciting. I was looking after TumTum and Einstein for teka(his two adorable kitties) and I noticed that Einstein had pulled her stitches out of her tummy! She had been fixed on Tuesday and this was Sunday – not good! So Christmas Eve was spent finding an open Emergency Vet – the one in Tucker – and getting her there. They saw her very quickly and said they would fix her up, apparently I caught it in time as it was infected, but she had not developed a fever or anything yet. They kept her till morning and put staples in her tummy and a big cone on her head. So I ran out of wrapping time Christmas Eve and prep time for breakfast, but I had arranged with Charlotte to delay Christmas by about an hour, thank goodness.
The next morning it was up at 7:30, and mdaniel went to fetch Einstein and I decided to keep her at my place, just separate from my kitties, so we got her set up in a room. Then I set the tables, started the fruit salad, made the eggs and made waffles. Breakfast started at 11:30, which was not to bad, and Milton and Karen came down, Charlotte and Mike, and every one seemed to have fun. We had tons of food, couple of bottles of Champagne and coffee.
Later on I was Santa – hat and all – and I handed out the presents, and by 4 I was beat. I then started getting this damn cold I am still fighting, so an early night.
Boxing day – or the huge sale day – found me moving real slow, but I eventually made it to Lenox Mall and I hit the sales: candles, martini glasses, silicone bakeware, bowls and chocolate were the extent of my purchases. Then more sleep. And Wednesday was back at work. As was Thursday and today is off, so I can shake this damn cold.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I am still working on my top 20 of the year, and will make CDs I promise, whether I get round to handing them out is another story…
