Had a lovely relaxing evening, and then a long sleep as Charlotte stayed in The City with her friends. As usual I was awake early and commenced reading and trying to relax as my back was killing me. But, at 11 I woke Simon up to make me french toast with nutella and bananas…yummy.
I then spent most the rest of the day relaxing, reading and talking, Charlotte got back around 1:15 or so and then lunch was up – Pumpkin Soup w/rooibos tea, so good, and then Linda, Charlotte and I drove to Conneticut to see one of Linda’s favourite stores – Pickets. It was really neat, it was like Metropolitan Deluxe used to be in Atlanta about 5 to 7 years ago, filled with small gifts and old jewelery, pieces of furniture, cut glass, and paintings. Very small, but definitely a good place to find unusual gifts and home items. I saw a great book I wanted called Real Food. Then a lovely drive home.
The evening was great: Boerewos, meilie pap and breidie for dinner, and then Gerald had actually rented The Proposition, and I watched it as everyone went to bed. I loved the movie, it was little gory but not overly so, but the music was so haunting and fitted in so well. But, then again how could I have disliked it as Nick Cave wrote the screenplay and did the music. Then finally to bed.
