So I spent a lot of time trying to decide whether to make this entry open or private, but in the end this is a live journal, open, in other words.
I went to a wedding yesterday, my friend Melissa got married, and it was wonderful. I am so happy she found happiness and love, she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and a Legendary Pink Dots fan. Watching her ceremony and reception, I was reminded of my wedding and how different it was.
Greg and I got married in the Decatur Court, it was a windy day, and I wore a leather jacket over my dress(which I found at Junkman’s Daughter), Greg wore his black jeans and a jacket, plus he tied his hair back. My dad and stepmom and my sister all came down with us. We waited outside on a bench and my Dad gave me a half dollar coin. The judge was really nice and even gave us a small ceremony and talk. We had forgotten about rings, and half way through I took of my engagement ring so Greg could put it on my finger.
Everything was so fast, and slow at the same time, I remember walking out and my stepmom taking a picture, my Dad sniffing, and Greg and I felt invincible.
We had no cake and, no party, but luckly a few days later the Wedding Present released a new album, and my rep bought a cake by work and Greg and I had our photo taken with it – Wedding Cake Photo…!
We were happy, that euphoria of getting married is unlike anything else, you feel happy, sad and special all at once, it is an amazing feeling.
