Step into Narnia: A Journey Through The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
By E.J. Kirk
This hardbound, glossy, full-color book is an entertaining read. It’s packed with features, including a guide to Narnia with beautiful illustrations, pages devoted to getting to know the four Pevensie children with diary entries and a slumbook-type layout, report cards on the different creatures in Narnia, and a map of the White Witch’s abode. It looks like an expertly put-together scrapbook—ideal for Narnia fans both young and old.
I loved the Narnia books as a child. I read the first one on September the 1st 1982! How can I be so sure? It was the day my parents got divorced. In SA they only used to hear divorce cases on the first of the month, and so I have a pretty clear memory of it…I remember the lady -Pat- who looked after my sister and I for the afternoon, and her kids being in hushed awe that a divorce was happening, so I got to read all their books! And I read “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”, I was hooked. I remember begging for the rest of the books for Christmas, and not getting them, I had to go to the library and borrow them and they only had the next 2, I was crushed.
