This week has been one of pain! After fridays visit to the Chiropractor, my shoulder felt better, till Sunday when it started to hurt, and Monday was agony. My whole arm felt dead and very hard to move, so back I went – I had an appointment – and much rubbing and icing and digging and moving in shoulder begun. To be succinct, I have injured my Rotor Cuff and damaged the surrounding tissue by doing nothing about it, and by my body compensating for the injury, put my neck out.
I was crying on the table, an hour worth of work and at the end of it no relief! I have to wait for the swelling to go down before any relief will be felt.
Tuesday was agony at work, and Wednesday was actually better! Lots of ice in the mean time and rest and sleeping on my back. So, back at the Chiropractor Wednesday and only some pain – enough – and the swelling is going down, and there is movement in the shoulder and neck, so slowly getting better. Friday is the next serious massage and digging in session and then two days of rest.
I would have killed for some percocet on Tuesday and Wednesday – the perils of going to a chiropractor – no pain meds, but the upside is, I can feel my body getting better and expelling the toxins. I am so thirsty after every visit and even don’t want sugar – just water, no caffeine, as it tenses the muscles, and I have actually almost slept through every night. The hardest thing was finding someone to put the “icy hot patch” on me during the day. I went down to my local starbucks, to see if any of my friends were there that could do that – desperate!
