I often used to wonder when I was young if I would have been a different person if I had, had a different name. I used to name my dolls names I wanted and then give them the imagined personalities. My favourite name I did not get – on the short list for my parents was Elizabeth. The others in the running were: Holly(the next child if a girl would have been Ivy – my Dad said NO!), Margeret, Anne all very british and proper names, if a boy I would have been: David, Samuel, Anthony. Kinda scary if you think about it.
