What a day from start to finish. Up early and reading then time to clean up room and start packing and laundry. Breakfast was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs – note to self I need to drink more juice. Then more tiding up and I even learnt how to use the fancy washing machine and dryer.
Next on the agenda was a two hour walk along the beach, it was great. By the end of it the water was not nearly as cold though it was rough and still too cold for Charlotte and I to go in. We saw a oyster catchers(the bird) and lots of seaweed – yummy Charlotte said, and Daddy tended to lag behind. When we got back Charlotte and I went to swim in the pool, and Rhiannon, Priya and Sian and Daddy went to swim in the sea.
The pool was great, kids and families there but, it felt very relaxing and South African. We then went back to the house for lunch and final bit of getting ready to leave. I got one more swim in and then off to Colleen.
At Colleen was a braai! and lots of people including Liz, who we have not seen in 4 years. Colleen’s house is in Milnerton and her and Duncan have a very nice house, lots of plants and a fish pond… The people all left eventually and bed. So tired.
