Before I bitch too much let me just say I love the new Miss Kitten CD it reminds me of Danielle Dax.
So this guy was in the store today and asked me where our experimental electronic section was, I replied the dance records are all over there. He says he is not looking for dance, I explain slowly that we file it all together and anything he was looking for would probably be there. He then looks at my T shirt(with the planets on it) and says “are you a Gustuv Holst fan”
“no, I like Tomita” I reply in my quick witted and funny way…he looks blank. So I go back to doing my work.
He then comes up to ask whether the DJ Shadow record is pressed from an analogue or digital master. I don’t know I reply but, it is the same as the CD so I imagine digital…this conversation last 20 minutes! Till he manages to accost another record store clerk(from another store) who also gives him the “I don’t know and have you lost your mind answer”. Now in my mind if you are looking for experimental electronic you should ask about – Xenakis, Stockhausen, Merzbow, etc. and not buy Heaven 17!(which is what happens).
And please do not comment on my: shoes, jeans, accent, or looks and then expect me to be nice – so you can comment on my attitude! , I do not want coffee with you, I want to ring you up and make you leave! And when you are finally ready to leave, 5 hours and counting, do not let me ring you up, and then decide to re-look at all your records and re-decide! and say “you are only being polite because you want the sale” damn right I want the sale, then I want you too leave so I never see you again you FAT FUCK!
I also managed to smash my shoulder into a CD case today it is going to be a great bruise – just waiting for it.
I am also having horrible breathing problems this last week, don’t know why, but I am guessing the pollen, as my eyes are troubling me as well. I cannot see in the morning and am very light sensitive right now.
I am also going through an I hate my body phase. Why? I wish I knew as sometimes I am happy, sometimes I am content, and right now I hate it.
